ASOS blanket cape

Browsing ASOS a couple of weeks back, these blanket/cape/poncho hybrids caught my eye. It doesn't fit with my usual style but I thought just how perfect for the plane? But I decided that it was a bit too 'pilgrim' to pull off, so I closed the page. Fast forward to last week and I realised that I did in fact need one in my life. In true "Jade's sorry life" style, the one I originally wanted was out of stock (though NOW it's flipping back IN stock, hmpf), so I went for this stripe version instead.

And yeah, I don't care that I look like I'm about to mount a horse. It is THE BOMB.COM of a cover-up. Since I got it, I've not gone one day without wearing it. Wake up, throw it on and I'm (literally) covered for the day. It's perfect for this weather as we transition into Autumn and will definitely save me from the harsh air con of the plane.

So I originally had plans to travel in all sorts of loose clothing (one of my flights is about 12 hours!) but I'm thinking this outfit is a contender. The silk shirt (or silk BLOUSEN, as Zara call it, lololol) slips on like pyjamas and Topshop leigh jeans have never been restricting to me (3% elastane, wuddup). Actually, I'm coming to the conclusion that if you can't travel in jeans, then you might just not own a comfortable enough pair!

  5. Loving the superhero cape Jade - I actually love the whole outfit!
I have yet to find THE jeans. I donated all my jeans to charity a few years back so I currently own none. But I'm on the hunt for the perfect pair... which is proving to be very hard :(

  6. I made an ASOS order last week and I literally had this in my basket but I had too many items for the discount to work so I had to cut out a few things - including this cape! Seeing how it looks IRL has filled me with a little regret... :'( looks so comfy and lovely! x x
