Meet me in the pale moonlight

Donald Trump wants his blue blazer black! Who gets the reference? From afar this might look like a fairly unassuming outfit, but look closer and you'll see it's all in the detail, HEH.

Since I wore my fluro boucle blazer to death last summer (see me wearing it here, most recently), it only seemed right to get a moody-weather-appropriate one. I never draw attention to my bag in writing, as no-one likes a brag(!), but doesn't the jacket go perfectly with the Classic Flap? So Chanel!

Boucle can definitely be ageing and a bit pretentious looking in my opinion, but these blazers from ASOS are super unstructured and loose, so I like to think they work well for young folk like moi in keeping it chic and keeping it understated. And it's on sale right now, so gogogo!

Like I said, it's in the detail; don't be fooled in thinking these are your run-of-the-mill black pumps.

They are of course a blinged up version ^_^ Not content with just the one pair I blogged about before, I picked up the black to cover all weather bases. Though, saying that, they are just hot fix rhinestones and will come off even when I'm stationary so by "all weather", I really mean "the driest of weather on even ground." You can see their true sparkly nature here.

Procrastination has led me to that good old past-time of internet shopping and if you follow me on Instagram, you'll have seen some of the goodies I've bought. I really wonder what the psychology is behind finding happiness in opening packages of new material items. To me, contentment is being handed a parcel from the postman, opening it and laying everything out on my bed; trying each thing on before putting the new clothes, underwear or shoes away in their new home in my wardrobe and drawers. SIGH :) Can you tell that writing this blog post was one big procrastination?

  2. Your absolutely right! Receiving and opening packages from the mailman/woman is one of the most amazing things in the world and just makes me so happy.

Lovely outfit, I love the jacket. And yes, it does go great with the chanel strap!

  3. Your blue boucle blazer is definitely very Chanel indeed! I love the look, it really is all in the little details. There's a post on my Instagram that says something like, I was sad but then I bought something and I'm happy now - and it's so true haha. Shopping really is like therapy sometimes, and receiving new things makes me happy! That's so materialistic I know, but looking at/using/wearing pretty things is always a pick-me-up and who can argue with that?! I'm a new reader of your blog, having stumbled upon it through Josie's blogger love tag, and I love it :) xxx
