OUI or NON?

Jeans and a tee - could this be? Am I really dressed so casually?! (Poetry is obv my forte!!!)

I've somewhat admitted defeat to the library and I'm now going for comfort. Don't get me wrong, I'm not a leggings-as-pants + hoodie goer (but forgive my 16 year old self - she was fat and style blind), and I've always got my powder compact at arms reach for touch-ups, but some compromise was inevitable with the study gods. I figured if I'm going to do jeans and a tee then I'll do it my way and stick to that "Jade aesthetic" (~~ohhhhh referencing the blog name~~). Can you say rough? >>>

Note: everything is new. This tee is the lightest of pinks and comes with handy 'oui' and 'non' so I can simply point to the relevant boob to answer questions.

The jeans - omg. I can't believe I'm only just introducing grey jeans into my wardrobe. These are super soft and I love the wash! While other parts of my life leave much to be desired, I feel like my pant life is flourishing.

And of course, nothing wrong with adding a little glam to a grey situation, so I couldn't help but give my new Zara ballet pumps their first outing. I'm very tempted to buy a back-up pair, as a similar pair I bought last summer has 20% of rhinestones left on them from regular wear! I've clearly not learnt my lesson but they're soooo pretty. Life's a climb (two flights of stairs to get to the silent zone of the library) but the view is great* (my new shoooooes).

  1. I nearly bought this tee a few weeks ago but couldn't find it in my size anywhere dammit. Love the jeans and your sneaky Hannah Montana reference!

  3. OUI to this outfit!
This outfit has to be one of my (many) favourite outfits you have sported on your blog. I'm all for simplicity and minimalism - those two words literally define my wardrobe!

  6. Dudeeeee welcome to my life and my daily uniform! Feels pretty good, doesn't it?! ha. That bag is so chic and is the perfect complimentary piece to that casual look. I just might need to acquire that topshop tee myself, i'm kind of obsessed. It's crazy how studying can bring crazy sartorial enlightenments and revelations (i.e. the grey denim)!

  8. Oh my gosh I friggin love this! That tee shirt is beyond perfection and I love how you added the embellished ballet flats! So cute!

Those jeans look so great on you, btw! I hate the way my legs look in skinny jeans but I still have hope as to finding a pair that look decent because leggings don't look all that bad. Zara jeans as well as Topshop jeans look promising... I'll have to try some on next time I'm in a shop!

Love love love love your style... Just followed! I'm looking forward to future posts from you!
