Long live

HALLELUJAH I finally got to wear these shoes after a month of them gathering dust. You might be wondering why it's taken so long to put them on my feet... Well I live in England, don't I? Mother Nature obviously isn't a fan of non-waterproof shoes. But she's stopped being so stroppy now her month-long rain menstruation is over and we've finally seen some clearer skies.

I was surprised that the ankle strap attaches by velcro because, well, they're from Zara women, not Zara kids. But it makes them so quick to put on and take off that I'm wondering why more adult shoes aren't designed with velcro...

Obviously I paired them with my ripped jeans because if there's anything that makes boyfriend jeans less MAN, it's a pair of heeled sandals. I also whipped out this boucle beauty again which I bought last summer. What with my fickleness, clothes in my wardrobe don't usually have such a long life cycle, so it's a testament to how much I love it that I'm still wearing it!

Last night, stress about life after graduation reached its crux and I ended up crying on the phone to my mum (who had nothing too reassuring to say except "don't randomly come home before the Easter holidays, focus on studying and here, have some money").

Having studied journalism for the past three years, I've realised it's not what I want to do. Incidentally, I'm not the only one I've heard of on my course to say the same thing! It's not like I have my mind set on something else either. I don't know exactly what I want to do, so I feel like I can't even map out a plan to reach an end goal.

Anyway, it's just made me realise how thankful I am that I started this blog when I did, because now it's grown into something I'm proud of and I know that I at least have this as a constant while the rest of my future is slowly wilting! I sincerely thank everyone who reads my blog and follows me on Instagram or Twitter x

  1. Girl, you're like 21 years old. No one expects you to already have a life plan set. Plans change, take it from me. My goals have changed so many times, I stopped counting. You have a degree you can use in many ways. Play around a little, you still have time to be all serious and stressed about life later....and I do absolutely love those shoes :)

I am exactly the same lately, dreading graduating with no idea what's going to happen next! I'm just pretending it's not happening.

  7. Heyy,

Love those shoes. I have been eyeing them as well. Were they true to size?

    1. Yes they are! I've never had a problem with Zara shoe sizing.

  8. I have the same pair of shoes! But the metal back bothers me when I walk, have that happened to you?

    1. At first they did but I realised it was because I fastened them too tightly! Just have to get used to feeling secure in them when the strap is a little loose around the ankle :)
