Daydream

I can hear my friends now: "Any need for this many photos of yourself in the same outfit?" D: I'm sorry, I couldn't decide which to include. Multiple photos at barely different angles is style blogging and I never really noticed until now just how many of the same photos I scroll through everyday when reading people's blog posts! (Not complaining btw)

PLEB. If I'm ever looking into the distance, it's entirely accidental. So many outfit photos and I still haven't got the hang of being comfortable in front of my own camera!!

Leggings - H&M || Cami top, loop knit coat, shoes, bag - Zara || Scarf - H&M || Hat - Topshop

These navy trouser-look leggings from H&M are the ones. PREACH. I can look smart without the fuss of a whole button to have to do them up. I laugh at your trouser buttons. Not to mention, with the shoes and hat, I look quite the sir.

In more Tales of Jade's Fashion Ignorance, today I learnt that Christopher Bailey took inspiration from the Bloomsbury Group for his AW14 collection. I thought Bloomsbury was exclusively a book publisher so it confused me to no end but I now know that the Bloombury Group was a group of writers and artists (though I'm still unsure as to how they inspired his collection). Every week that I step foot into the fashion journalism class is the definition of 'winging it'.

  1. Gosh that coat and the shoes are perfect! I'm currently in the process of reformatting my outfit photos for the blog because of that exact reason - "but my coat looks so different at a 5 degree angle difference!!" Haha fashion journalism is a murky ol' pond, eh? Have you covered costume and art history for it yet? I never realised BUILDINGS influenced fashunnnn. x
