With a new term (or ~semester~, as they insist on calling it) comes new learning and I'm now taking a fashion journalism module. After my first class yesterday, I realised that I'm way out my depth. We did a quick grammar test and I put the accent on Hermès the wrong way round -_- Some fashion student I am?! I need to revise my fashion knowledge big time. I don't even know who Isabella Blow is!!
But let's talk about clothes stuffs that I could actually hold a conversation about.
These boots were a mahoosive bargain from Forever 21 - reduced to just £12. When I got home I immediately thought: "what the hell possessed me to buy these?" They're not exactly the easiest boots to style. Not to mention that they have silver hardware and pretty much everything I own is gold!
Round neck top - Zara || Leather pants, blazer, scarf - H&M || Boots - Forever 21
But I rolled with it and black on black (especially if it involves my leather pants) is always a failsafe. And the top I'm wearing has now cemented itself as a staple in my wardrobe. Believe it or not, I'm actually trying to condense my wardrobe to form a sort-of-kind-of-but-not-really capsule wardrobe. I don't want to make an actual commitment, more just a concerted effort to 'trim the fat' and keep only what I regularly wear.
So of course, what does every capsule wardrobe
probably not need? A SUIT. YES, I BOUGHT A SUIT. Obviously Zara, obviously from the sale and obviously it's bright pink?! It was an impulse buy in-store last week and I'm hankering to give it some fresh air. Watch this space!
