Zzzzzzzz properly back to uni now. Still being a wet blanket and crying whenever I speak to my mum but soon I'll be too busy with work to even have emotions so aw, that's nice. Nowadays the things keeping me happy is knowing that I'm wearing nice, new underwear and regressing to my childhood and making dens in my bedroom. And of course blogging. Such a nice little break from real life for the 10-15 minutes it takes me to write up a post. What a sap. I'll stop now.
Velvet playsuit - Topshop
Tights - New Look
What can I say? I'm drawn to interesting backed clothes. Even without the cutout back, I love this playsuit. It's such a nice midnight blue colour and it has sheer sleeves, as is standard for my wardrobe. The only thing about velvet is that I always look dusty. Actual Miss Havisham? Still, there's not much point wearing this if you don't show off the back, so I braved uni today sans jacket. A mistake on my part because it was one of those "I'm going to look warm and sunny but actually be cold and breezy" days.
I don't think I ever talk about books on here but I recently read Looking For Alaska by John Green and it is such a good book. Like a few others (I'm assuming, anyway), I wanted to read it after seeing so many quotes from it online that are just the nicest quotes and I wasn't disappointed. It comes under teenage fiction but to be honest, I think anyone could enjoy it. It's such a nice book about teenage love and finding yourself, you know, the usual. Except this is actually well written. If you can't be bothered then just read this passage and flail in a pit of unrequited love with me:
We talked about magazines and the net and blogs today in our lecture and I'm suddenly very conscious that I write a load of rubbish every now and again and call it a blogpost! Going to try and up the quality of my writing to gold because at the moment it's soil.
