Leaver's Dinner

Well, everyone just called it prom even though it wasn't really a prom; it was a posh dinner in the Racquet Club and then an after party in Mosquito (which even though we paid to hire out for the night, no-one thought to actually hire a good DJ) and then after after party at someone's house. I do sometimes think if I should even bother being young and skipping straight to nanhood because I couldn't stop yawning at the after after party.

I wish I could say that I felt like a million pounds in my dress but to be honest walking around my own bedroom in it numerous times kind of loses the magic of wearing it on the actual night. And I wish everyone didn't wear long dresses so I could have worn a short one and actually been comfortable but whatever, I'll always find something to complain about anyway!
I'm sure this dress won't be to everyone's taste but it's cream and has a bow so it ticks all of my boxes. I showed you the shoes I wore in my last post but just in case you didn't see them (and another excuse to show the beautifulness of them):
Aaaand I did my nails with the loose craft glitter to match the heels:
And that was "prom". Nothing really eventful but possibly the last time that our year will be together ever again! I've been in the same school from nursery to sixth form with some of these people so it will definitely be weird not seeing them regularly ever again. We had our leavers service in our school chapel as well earlier that day and I got my leavers hoodie and yearbook - sad times.

I am still in the middle of exams though so it's not like I've completely finished. AAHHH I have finished History forever though!! The exam wasn't terrible but I you never know how these things go so I just hope I've done enough! Still got another Business Studies paper and English Language and then I finish for Summer next week. EXCITEMENT.

Thank you for sticking around. I will blog again soon; I have lots I want to share!

P.S Dress made in China (literally, got it brought over by a family friend), shoes from Schuh and glitter from John Lewis.

  10. Ahhhhhh the dress is gorgeous! Jade, you look sooo beautiful :)

We had a similar dealio when I left school. Meant to be "prom" or whatever and it was just drinks at our local cricket club! I went to all girls so it was really boring - lots of us left early and went on to a bar instead! x x

  11. You look bloody gorgeous young lady!

That dress is certainly to MY taste - just look at that bow, AMAZING!

Does it kinda take the shine off the whole thing, that you're still in for exams..? At my school the Yr 11 & 6th Form proms are definitely not until all the exams are over & they have properly finished..

Have missed your blog, glad you posted :)

heartshapedbruise - yeah it does a bit! Most of my year finished in May because they do IB instead of A Levels so the school fit it around them but yeah, they could have at least waited! x

  17. You look fabulous! I LOVE the dress - oversized bows FTW! I think I already commented last time you posted a pic of the shoes, but they really are amazing and it's awesome the way you matched your nails with them :)

I remember my leaver's ball/prom being a bit of a disappointment, we had it at the Liner Hotel (you know the one near Lime St?) and I just remember it being insanely hot there and the DJ was rubbish (like APPALLINGLY rubbish). I think I left early!
