Well, everyone just called it prom even though it wasn't really a prom; it was a posh dinner in the Racquet Club and then an after party in Mosquito (which even though we paid to hire out for the night, no-one thought to actually hire a good DJ) and then after after party at someone's house. I do sometimes think if I should even bother being young and skipping straight to nanhood because I couldn't stop yawning at the after after party.
I wish I could say that I felt like a million pounds in my dress but to be honest walking around my own bedroom in it numerous times kind of loses the magic of wearing it on the actual night. And I wish everyone didn't wear long dresses so I could have worn a short one and actually been comfortable but whatever, I'll always find something to complain about anyway!
I'm sure this dress won't be to everyone's taste but it's cream and has a bow so it ticks all of my boxes. I showed you the shoes I wore in my last post but just in case you didn't see them (and another excuse to show the beautifulness of them):
Aaaand I did my nails with the loose craft glitter to match the heels:
And that was "prom". Nothing really eventful but possibly the last time that our year will be together ever again! I've been in the same school from nursery to sixth form with some of these people so it will definitely be weird not seeing them regularly ever again. We had our leavers service in our school chapel as well earlier that day and I got my leavers hoodie and yearbook - sad times.
I am still in the middle of exams though so it's not like I've completely finished. AAHHH I have finished History forever though!! The exam wasn't terrible but I you never know how these things go so I just hope I've done enough! Still got another Business Studies paper and English Language and then I finish for Summer next week. EXCITEMENT.
Thank you for sticking around. I will blog again soon; I have lots I want to share!
P.S Dress made in China (literally, got it brought over by a family friend), shoes from Schuh and glitter from John Lewis.
